Easy create geo word file with Geoviewer

Recently I'm loving Geoviewer by Lizardtech. It's a free software to view JP2 and SID. It makes the job of combining JP2 aerial maps and create geo world files so easy. I don't have to download 2010 files from TNRIS anymore to get to the geo files.

Here are the steps in Geoviewer to change JP2 files to JPG and create geo world file. I use examples naip12*.zip from TNRIS website.

1) File /Add Local Layer ... (or Ctrl O) >> pick and choose your JP2 aerial images here
2) You will get a pop up asking "to use native NAD83 / UTM 15 or  WGS84". Just check NAD83/UTM15 and OK.

3) Aerial image will add to Geoviewer, you can continue to add new aerial images or continue.

4) Tools/ Export/Export Map....
 - Format: JPG
 - Resolution: Full Resolution
 - Check box Write World File
 - Jpeg quality: 95 (the higher number, the better quality of image, and of course slower to process)
 - Then click Browser to pic where to save the jpg file.
5) Enjoy your new JPG and word file. If you have Carlson, you can also add the JPG aerial map to a dwg.
