No more Surveyor in Training
Last time I posted in this blog I was a surveyor in training, but things changed since then, and I am a registered surveyor now, for more than a year actually.
I am still trying to adjust to my new role, taking more responsibilities as a project surveyor. I start to chase after drafters for drawings, or ask the crews how the field work, talk to the clients, answer phones from the unhappy landowners calling to ask why you are on my land ("I only work here" can't be used anymore LOL). Besides from that, I have to remind myself to check drawing, and final field notes, which is one of my weakness. Luckily my boss and mentor still check my drawings before it gone out, quality assurance.
To celebrate being a new surveyor, I signed up to a gym to take exercise classes. My resolution is to be a fit and healthy surveyor. My mentor try to get me to volunteer and join organizations but I am still don't know how to start on it. Let's put it on the list for next year then.
