That CAD Girl just link to useful zip file of Carlson point symbols that will show the white area over the line, without cutting the line. These created using wipeout command of autocad, which might create some complication on plotting on some computers. I personally create CG01 symbol for me with the same wipeout block. The link looks like have more symbols.
